I've been having a problem signing in to windows explorer from one of the
limited user's accounts in my computer. If the "sign me automatically"
checkbox is checked, It does not recognize my password and user name (I
receive the error: "Signing in to .NET Messenger Service failed bk the passwd
is incorrect or the sign-in name does not exist. If you have forgotte..." ).
Same thing happens if I try to sign in by clicking the Windows messenger Icon
in the IE toolbar. If box is unchecked, everything is fine. However, I do not
have that problem with another limited user's account.
If it helps, I am running XP SP2, Antispyware Beta, Norton Antivirus and
firewall 2004, windows messenger 4.7.
How can I get around this issue? Am I better off switching to MSN
messenger?? could the problem have to do with a setting in Antispyware?
