I just finished checking out the motherboard guide which did a review of the 14 motherboards. I also liked the SOLTEK alot but i want to know if the sl-75drv2 is better than another if found on their site which seems to be the same one only better than the sl-75drv2 which is the sl-75drv4. Would it perform better than the sl-75drv2 or worse or is it an improvement. (Was this board available at the time of the review).

I believe the difference between the SL75DRV2 and the SL75DRV4 is that the DRV4 comes with the VT8233A southbridge instead of the VT8233. The new southbridge allows for ATA133 hard disks. Performance wise, if you don't have an ATA133 hard disk, the performance between the two should be the same.

I havn't had any problems with my SL-75DRV2 board yet. Just make sure you have all the double check teh switches and jumpers and install the memory in the slots closest to the cpu (like all other motherboards) and you shouldn't have any problems concerning the mobo.

I have had the DRV4 for about 2 weeks, so far best board i have ever owned... major difference and could be the only difference is that it supports my ata 133, as said. I would recommend this board, has v good overclocking, easy to use and so far super stable, super fast. my AMD 1600 is running at the same speed as a XP 1800 and has reached XP 1900 speeds and this is without modifying the CPU. My verdict worth every penny (so far!)
