Hi everyone, I am having major problems with the MSN Games,

My friend and I installed MSN 3 days ago, and all was working well, we were
playing games, Billiards, Wheel of Fortune and Upwords, it said that they
have a 14 day trial, which is fine, as it was only our 1st day.

The next day we went to play and the games will not work at all...
Neither of us have done anything different and when we click on the game,
mine just says "loading" and does nothing and my friend gets an error
message to say that the game is "Unavailable"

The free games dont work either and give the very same error,,

The only game we can play is the TicTacToe at the very bottom of the list.

I have spent hours trying to find the reason for this, and we played for 1
day and it worked perfectly.

Neither of us have changed anything with our computer, everything is the
same as it was when the games did work,

We have done everything recommended on the MSN site, the games help and
have read through this and other forums and found no solution.

What I dont understand is that the games *did* work perfectly but for only a
single day.

We are both using MSN 7, both using Win XP Pro, we have no firewall so
no conflicts there, plus as I said the games *did* work....

this is so frustrating, to have them work for 1 day, its supposed to be a
14 day trial, but even the free games wont work either, except for the very
basic tic Tac Toe....

does anyone have some other suggestions? The games were working, why
did they only work for 1 single day?

many thanks in advance,

Terrie.

PS I put this on the 2 groups as I wasnt sure which would be right ....

I'm having the same problem. I put this in the newsgroup months and months
ago, but no one, especially no one from Microsoft, replied. It was working
fine for a few days and then it went down. I just upgraded to 7.0, and am
still having the same problem - it's saying it's still temporarily
unavailable. It's obvious that there are multiple people have this problem,
and it's too bad that Microsoft doesn't have the decency to at least
acknowledge that there's a problem, but they haven't, and they've had over
half a year to do so. Although I can send and receive Winks with the new
7.0, there is no animation or anything, it just shows the picture and gives
the error message of: "MSN Messenger was not able to play the wink. Please
try a different wink." Naturally, they all say that. I wouldn't be
surprised if this is related to the same problem, because my friend
downloaded 6.2 at the same time as me and her games worked fine. Likewise
with 7.0: she downloaded it at the same time and her winks work fine.
Obviously there is something disrupting items on certain computers only, and
I hope that someone has the answer - although after this long, I'm not
holding out much hope.
