Unable to connect video conference with Msn 7 beta

I live in the UK and have a brother out in the States.We
have been keeping in touch via msn messenger using video
conference which is great and saves phone bills.Now I
brought a Netgear WGR614 wireless router.Since then,I had
no luck using the video conference.using the webcam only
worked but very jerky,but sound refused to work.
I have been searching through the
websites for information and found out that the "Upnp"
has to be enabled..which i did,then installed "Upnp"
software for windows.But still no joy.I been able to sent
files but no video conference.I have not got windows own
firewall on but have McAfee instead and that given the
msn full access.
Please can you help me as I've ran out
of options.It may be something simple but I been
scratching my head for the last few days.
