kg7 raid and mx2 400

i'm running a abit kg7 amd 1.4 266 and mx2 400 64meg card all with win xp, after about 6 weeks it runs slow when opening any window, not installed anything new so why does it sloooooow down? someone suggested probs with via 4-1 anyone else suffered like me???

How many RAM do you have, and is DMA enabled for your harddisk?

My case has so many fans that it hovers above the ground .

i have 512 ddr pc 2100 and looking at xp i can't find the dma enabled so maybee its not used on hd?????
its an ibm deckstar 40 gb ata100 (which shows as this on bootup), checked for viruses and nothing showing

If not check your temps and voltages and see how many Watt your powersupply is.
