My shuttle ak31a ($78 newegg, $79.95 at Fry's electronics) works fine for me. It has 4 ddram slots ( all 4 can be used with good non-ecc, unregistered memory such as crucial, micron, samsung, kingston, etc.). I've flashed the bios 3 times since getting it in Oct., and the latest version (ak31a2sef) lets you flash it while running windows. Just download from the shuttle website to your documents file, click on the award icon, wait 20-30 seconds for the screen to change (don't do anything) to a white box, showing flash completed, close, reboot into bios, save and exit. Very simple. I'm running the cpu at 1.7 (-.50 volts) to keep temps low, and I can still get 138 fsb for a little overclocking.
