I volunteered to look at a relatives' Inspiron 1100, 2.0 Celeron, 20
gb. hd, CDRW, 256mb memory. She said the laptop was in for repairs
because she spilled coffee on the keyboard. Keyboard was replaced
then unit went completely dead a few weeks later.
Upon removal of keyboard, I found the cpu fan had been left
disconnected. So from anyone's experience here, I am wondering what
all needs replaced. I presume motherboard and cpu, how about video
board? No power lights when using battery or just power supply. TIA
for any opinions. Looking at parting out the whole thing on ebay as
one option.

IMO it would be better to buy a new laptop.
