scratch on the motherboard...

can a weak scratch completely corrupt a mainboard??
cos i made a weak scratch near the ram slots on the data ways by mistake when i am trying to put the cpu on...and now distributor says there is a corrupted condenser...and now mainboard is out of guarantee...
i want to know that if a scratch can corrupt a condenser??and could this be fixed??
(the scratch is only on the data ways near the ram slots??)

would be able to tell better if you ahve a pic of it.

if its scratched it too deep, the board is dead. and since it qualifies as a CID (Customer Induced Damage) its out of warrantee too!

any scratch on the board shouldnt corrupt the condensor, maybe it was a excuse for not giving a replacement. but anyway it isnt entitled for any replacement.

A connection pen might fix your problem, but I couldn't tell without looking at it. They are also used to connect the L1 bridges of the regular athlon. Electronics stores sell them for about $12.95.
