i hope someone here can help me with this one.
i am setting up an asus k7m/rm micro board.

all went well , but i set the memory timings to aggressively and now it wont boot,

with my abit boards i can just clear the cmos, or use the insert key on the way in after a bad boot.

i dont see anything in the manual about preserving a bad boot if you make a mistake in the bios.

has anyone here used this board or setup or anyone know how i can get the system to boot again?

as i said everything else was good, i set the memory timings to cas2 etc..

i would assume there is a troubleshooting method of restoring.
anyway , your help is needed and much appreciated, thanx in advance

well after posting i went to the asus site , nothing there, and then toms guides, motherboard reviews and bios, plus the bios survival guide.
i found the same bios, all the settings described in detail here in toms article, and even after the memory timings he says" try it and see how it goes"
but nowhere can i find where it says, " and if you get a black screen after doing it try this..."

so im stuck, help please.

the brute force technique will work. remove the battery and keep it our for a while, then put it back in and start over.

if you do, set one BIOS parameter at a time especially if it is the memory timings so that you know what exactly goes wrong!
