Is the Asus A7V266 motherboard compatible with the AMD Athlon XP processors? I know in the motherboard guide from THW it says it was one of the first boards to support the Palomino cores, but on the Asus website it doesn't mention any support for the Athlon XP's...

It should be, but check their website to make sure.

Couldn't find anything that would suggest that the XP CPU is ok in that board, no bios update or anything. At least my bios update say that it's for XP support. Good luck

I have the Asus A7V266E. The standard A7V266 won't be compatible with XP processors as far as I know, just go with the E!
