Msgr 5.1 was working fine until after I uninstalled a display driver and
Colorific. I downloaded Msgr 5.1 again and ran Repair. This fails with the
error below. Any help most appreciated! Running XP SP2 with latest updates.

Greetings,

Do you have AdWatch (part of Adaware) or any other application which monitors things which
are installing? If so, disable them and then try installing again.

You could be hitting the problem that quite a few people are reporting.
Certainly a repair doesn't fix it for me and a full uninstall and
reinstall of WM5.1 is the way to go:

MsiExec /X {C3A6819F-62D3-4750-AF1C-28206DDF2C2E}
Then reinstall from the 5.1 source.

Post back here and let us know how you get on...

I also had this problem but only with my notebook. My desktop didn't
produced this error. I discovered that Microsoft AntiSpyware was the reason
of the problem. I run Beta 1 of the product on my computers and I wondering
why only on my laptop blocked the installation. The Spyware running other
machine discovered the new version and allowed it to run automatically. On
the desktop I need to shutdown the application run messenger and restart
Antispyware.
