Mech Warrior 4: Mercenaries

I just purchased the Clan and Inner Sphere Mech packs. I had them installed and they showed up in the game (the two side panels opened on the main menu showing their logos).

Due to problems with my SOYO Dragon Ultra piece of crapp, I had to install my ASUS P4S533 another poc. I thus had to repair my XP installation. I tried opening MW4 but the darn thing wouldn't work. I figured I would just have to uninstall/reinstall and I would be back in buisiness. I did this and the Mech packs will not appear in the game. After several uninstall/reinstall sessions I am forced to admit I haven't got a clue!!

Anybody else have these problems? Anybody got a solution?

You might go through and manually clean out the registry. Msft is pretty hardcore when they put their logo on the game; if all the registry entires don't line up, they won't let it play.

You can call this Quality Assurance. But closer to the point is Not-Pirated Assurance.

Which is like, in technical terms, a computer joke.
