Dell DSS utility Install problem

Just got a 9100 and had several XP pro licenses so I ordered it with
XP home, blew it away and installed my retail XP pro.

I tried to install Dell DSS utility and it says it installed but I see
no evidence it is there at all.

Are there issues with this program and retail OS installs?

No not at all. U wont see anything, It is just hardware support. U should
see the Dell utility tray instead- if installed... ;-)
