Flashing a MB Bios

I flashed my MB Bios yesterday, and I was unable to start Windows 2000 and had to do a recovery reinstall to allow it to boot up. Has anyone else ever had that problem?

I flashed my Gigabyte 7VTX-P from bios F2 to F6, and when I tried to restart 2000, it rebooted while loading some of the initial system drivers, and never got to the Windows 2000 splash screen. Even in safe mode.

In windows 98, it reloaded all the MB drivers at the first boot.

I was just curious if things like this had happened to anyone else.

Just wondering why you went to F6 on that board when the Gigabyte website says that model runs F4.
