Bad web links in my alerts window

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.messenger (More info?)

I'm getting bad web links in my alerts tab. Even the little popup from the
system tray has bad links. Is the problem on my side or a problem with
Messenger. I just upgrade to v5.1 of Windows Messenger, but it did not help.
Any ideas?

Here is a sample of one of the links:
<http://g.msn.com/3ALMSNTRACKING/30552HistoryTab?http://www.msnbc.com/m/c/ct_alert.asp?lnk=http%3a%2f%2fmsnbc.msn.com%2fid%2f7326141%2f&message_id=39604909¬ification_id=39604909>.

All the alert links (like the sample I gave), give me a "Not Found" error.
I've tried copying the URL directly into the IE address field and I get the
same error. Does the link work in your browswer?
