SIS645

I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Asus motherboard with the SIS645 chipset. Is it worth the chance or would it be better to go with the P4B? I know Tom's page said the SIS was better, but I don't know if I can trust the SIS for stability or not.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I like my epox 4sda+. Running a 1.6a at 2.22 (138 fsb) with .10 voltage increase; memory settings at 1T, 2.5 case, and turbo mode. Sound quality is just ok ( some slight popping noise at startup). Only regret is not having ratio adjustment. Manual shows it, but epox left it out. Some are running their p4's with lower multiplier and higher fsb.

I have an MSI 645 Ultra, and the board works well, but is limited by inability to change Vcore, and it can't read CPU temp. Also there is no such thing as MSI tech support, and they apparently are not going to fix temp issue, so cross it off your list. But, also check out the memory modules and compatability with 645, it is a very picky chipset for DDR.Other than the fact all the MSI support got plague and died, and they haven't hired any replacements, it might not be bad......

Backup my harddrive? How the hell do I get it in reverse?
