A friend of mine can no longer receive jpgs or pngs from me. We both have
the latest upgrade for the beta version. The one that just came out about
a week ago. I can send and receive to anyone and can send and receive
those files from him. He cannot receive them from anyone but can send
them.

Greetings Bob,

This is due to the new security features within Messenger. You can restore the functionality
as it was before by downloading and running the following .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/extfix.reg

You'll need to fully restart Messenger to see the change.

Thanks Jonathan. That is a great help. My friend will be very happy. Any
idea why my installation of the latest beta did not have that problem? I
checked and my version has the latest build number.

The feature was only added in the last two released builds. As well, it's using SP2's built
in security services to determine what's safe and what's not, so, your settings may already
allow you to send what you wish.
