Intel D850GB problem

Once again I call upon the genius minds of Toms hardware forum. I have a Intel D850GB MB using 4 Samsung pc800 modules. The first bank is 2X128mb modules and the second bank contains 2X64mb modules, processor is a retail box 1.3GHZ and a Gforce 2 video card.
Heres my problem. During the POST after the memory check the system hangs for ruffly 2-3 minutes then boots into windows normally. Other symptoms are extreamly slow memory count during post with fast boot disabled, hanging during cd burn and when shutting down the screen stays blank and dosn't actually ever turn off.
Heres what i've tried. I unplugged bank 1 "second bank" leaving the 2X128mb modules in bank 0, from what i've read on intel's site this should work.With this configuration when powered on no video comes on at all"strange?". With memory only in Bank 1 obvcourse I get the memory beep during POST.I've also tried switching pairs of modules from bank 0 to 1 and visa versa with no change.

Please ,any help would be greatly apreciated.
