So, installed new HD, reformat and start installing XP. Realize I do not have the key. So, purchase Win 7 and I cannot get out of XP install loop. Everytime I reboot, it's installing XP, if I put in W7 disk, doesn't recognize, when I F12 Boot, keyboard is not recognized (I cannot toggle to boot from CDROM/W7 disk). How can I get out of this XP install loop? It doesn't even ask me for key anymore, doesn't do anything! Help? Thinking I just return the HD and get another and start over?!? Thanks for all replies.

Start pc and enter the bios utility, set the optical drive as first boot device, save settings insert W7 disk and restart.
Start setup choose custom install and format the drive and continue instalation.
Pleas note: Windows 7 is on a dvd and requires a DVD drive to read it.
