ASUS P4S333

I seem to be having some problems with this board. I recently upgraded the BIOS on it. It still gives me the same problem though. It seems the USB stops working after a while and it seems to have some difficulty recoginizing drives sometimes. Has anyone else had a similar experience or perhaps knows what might be going on?

Sounds like an all around flaky board. I like Asus however, and my hunch would be that if you switch it up with a new one, all will go away.

With regards to the hard drive issue, I know we've had some SiS based boards have trouble with WD hard drives, but this is rare.

Contact were you bought the board and see if they'll test it and/or switch it for you.

I actually figured out one of the problems. Didnt read the fine print when i downloaded the new bios. The updated bios may cause a lose of the IDE2. You have to clear the CMOS to fix it.
