Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.messenger (More info?)

I've noticed only some conversations get saved in "My Chat Logs" folder but
can't figure out how or why just some of them and not all. Is it possible to
save/archive all conversations? And is it possible to go to previous
conversations and find them if they have been archived somewhere else? I'm
using WindowsXP Home and use Window's Messenger.
Thanks for any help!

Greetings,

"My Chat Logs" is part of Messenger Plus and is not actually a Windows Messenger. As such,
open up the main Messenger window, click the Plus! menu, then Preferences, choose the Logging
category, and make sure 'Automatically log all my chats by default' is selected. You also
might check the Auto-logging per contact options to make sure you're not being specific to
some contacts.
