Asus A7A266 m/b

I have been sold one of these boards with an AMD 1.7 XP chip. When I run Asus Probe utility it shows the processor MAX speed at 1700, current speed at 1466.
There does not appear to be any setting in the jumper free or jumper modes to allow the chip to run at 1700.
Can anyone confirm this board is suitable for a 1.7 chip as the specification I have seen on 'Tomshardware' site shows this board at 1.2 only?

Make sure your BOIS is the lastest version. (see <A HREF="http://usa.asus.com/mb/socketa/a7a266/faq.htm" target="_new">Q&A A7A266</A>).

After reading the Q&A again I'm not sure the M/B supports the 1.7+ XP. Anyone else have better experience clocking this card to 1.7 GHz?

XP processors are named according to a PR rating system... not actual mhz speed.

Therefore, your 1700XP+ is actually running at 1.46.... just like you see it... so it is 100% fine as you see it now. There is nothing wrong. (and you are getting kick ass performance so smile)
