It's definately dead here.. or I think people are just lost trying to figure out how to navigate games.
I never really keep up with games coming out because I normally let my brother do the research and he'd tell me what looks good.
Anyhow, I'm playing BF2, don't want to bother with the expansion pack right now.
Looking for new strategy games or games like Morrowind.. long single player games (RPG), or multiplayer. Not really looking for MMORPGs..
I've seen some new ones coming out but just don't bother reading all the reviews. Can't ever trust those people who comment since they're always freaks and love the game regardless.
and.. what are the better sites to check game reviews... I do the internet search but I never really see a site that has what I'm really looking for.
For gaming sites, you can find a ton. I found mine just by looking up my favorite games. Half Life introduced me to Gamespy. Rome Total War introduced me to IGN.com. If you are looking for reviews of games, its best to go to a gaming forum and ask the people. Note: This forum is pretty empty for gaming, so your best bet is a proper gaming website.
For single player rpgs, it appears MMORPGs are taking up space now in development. Big rpgs would be Star wars:KOTOR 1 and 2, Oblivion(Morrowind sequel due in spring).
As for Rts, Rome Total War, Warhammerawn of War, or Civilization 4(Turn based).
You may not like the fanboys and haters, but if you read enough of their opinions, you can interpret a good idea of how the game really is. Its definitely better than the gaming website reviews. They are usually talking about eye candy and never mention bugs, or other problems with the game. Give a new release 2 weeks then read gamers reviews. Makes a big difference.
Dead...this is a general section, which used to be the only section on gameing now they have all these crappy unneeded sub-catagories. Rome total war is very entertaining though, I really wish they had more units to choose from and that time didnt pass so friggin slowly god takes me ffoorrreeveerrr to upgrade my buildings and stuff.
i almost never read game reviews because theyre just peoples opinions an you could like it or not, to throw in the mixed there are biased reviews. im pretty good at telling what games are gonna be good and the ones your gonna kick yourself over cause you spent 50 bucks on that load of crap.
I haven't specifically gone into twitch guru. I see no reason to

Just looked. I don't read gamer related articles and am not interested in game news (well maybe once every now and then), I might every once in a while look at the gfx card reviews and I have zero interest in anything console related.
Like those Mech Warrior games.. I've never really liked them.. but everyone talks about how great they are.. haven't tried the new ones.. everyone just raves about them and they tend to be the hard core game who has only played that game.. I don't have 20 hours a day to put into a game, get good at it, then say how great it is.
Actually at least one of those mechwarrior games was great fun
I only ever got the demo cos I hadn't at the time the net connection for proper play but even then it played really well over a 56k modem. Was cool cos you could blow bits and pieces off different mechs.
