i am thinking of buying a 256 mb drr pc2100 stix and a 128mb drr pc2100 stix and put them in one mobo that have two 184-pin DIMM DRR memory slots, thus sums up to 384 mb... will it work?
also and will i need a memory cooling kit?

It will work. To avoid problems make sure that the manufacturer of your DIMM's are the same. A memory cooling kit is not necessary as long as you have good air flow in your case. When you get into overclocking is when you should consider other alternatives for case cooling.

DIMM slots might be loaded, you will perhaps need to raise the DIMM voltage. the memory configuartion is good.
