sounds fine enough for me, although i would prefer a Ti 500 rather than the 8500, it's a bit faster and you get less driver compatibility issues.
Are u gonna put in some case fan.. hope u thought of that. and u also need a good hsf for your CPU it runs quite hot but u proabably already have that taking care of

Actually, the R8500 is significantly faster than the Ti500 in many cases now, and they release driver fixes as fast or faster than nVidia. Please leave the past in the past.

I don't see any fans, but if he's not overclocking anything, and he's getting the retail Athlon XP, then he's fine.

really, whats the problem?

only thing I would suggest is you get the MSI KT7 Pro2RU, for USB 2.0 as well as RAID support. you might them in future, or implement the RAID array right away using two 40 GB 7200 rpm IBM hard drives giving you 80 GB capacity and twice transfer rates in RAID mode 0!

I'd say look into one of the new DDR 333 Supporting MBs as they have show a signifigant improvement over 266. Also More ram would be a good thing, 512 or if you do a lot of graphics or run a lot of apps at once even more could benefit you.

Duhhhh nobody wants to pway wiff me!

Didn't Tom's review the 333 chipset and find that there was little if any improvement over the 266 ? If a 333 has all of the other features wanted, great.
Oh, as long as it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Whoops, I forgot....ditch that kiddie/grandma operating system and go for XP and shove a bucket of ram in there. It's cheap.

Ram isnt cheap anymore :(

I wish to hell I had bought more when it was. But I dont see any real bottlenecks, in spite of what some others have said. I think you will be happy with what you posted.

Benchmarks are like sex, everybody loves doing it, everybody thinks they are good at it.
