I just get a new mohterboard and CPU. I cannot get the system to boot. When I press the power switch there is no response. I want to know if the CPU is not working do you get any response from the PC when you try to turn it on.

not to insult you, but did you remember to connect the power button to the mobo? Most problems are caused by little things like that, or at least most of mine are.

I did connect the Power Switch to the motherboard. I even tried to turn on the computer by short the power switch pins with a screwdriver.

The MB is INTEL D850MV. The PSU is an Antec 350Watt. I am sure the PSU is working since it is working before I replace the MB and CPU.

Made sure the the "Clear CMOS" jumper is in the correct position, also check for ground stud shorts under the M/B.

If the little green lite on the M/B is not lite, then its either the power supply or the M/B. Check your connectors for bent/broken pins.
