Well kind of, me a few friends when out in the desert this morning to do a little target practice. I was shooting at this old hydraulic jack that was about 70 yards away with my 30.06 Springfield, and was punching some nice holes in it. We decided to move it a little closer (about 20-30 yards) so people could hit it with their pistols just to see what damage they could do. Well right before were about to leave I decide to take a few more shots at it with my 30.06 and didn’t bother to take the time to move it back up the hill. I fire the 1st shot and a split second later I feel something hit my left shoulder. My friend then says that he heard the ricochet go right over his head! I tell him something hit my shoulder. He looks and says there is a hole in your shirt, you’ve been shot. So I look at the damage and sure enough I’m bleeding. Now I’m a little concerned thinking that it might be serious even thou it didn’t hurt yet. I put a rag over it to keep blood form getting on my shirt and drove home. Once I got home I cleaned the wound and put a band-aid over it, As far as I can tell it just hit me hard enough to cut the skin but not penetrate. I also have 2 holes in my shirt, entrance and exit I assume. My shoulder is bruised but as long as I don’t touch the wound I feel no pain so I guess I’ll live. But I learned an important lesson. Don’t shoot at metal objects with a high power rifles at close range!

Dude.
Good Call!
I break a sweat when my nephew is firing the bb-gun in the backyard. That kid will give it a couple of pumps, leave the safety off, stand it muzzle up right next to the back door. It's one thing if you live out in the country where everyone knows how to use a firearm, it's something else completely when it's in the city where everyone thinks a paintball gun can't kill a sparrow.
I hope that kid *NEVER* tries for a concealed license....
They say that it is best to learn from other peoples mistakes than to learn from your own. Don't you even watch TV? Now go see the doctor and get a X-ray with a Tetanus shot to go with it.

but it can't, my brother actually owns a paintball guns and we shoot at those damn magpies that makes so much damn noise in the morning. you can hit them with a paintball gun and they will not die so my brother bought a CO2 cartrige BB gun to shoot them. we took a bread bag with like 2 slices left and ripped tiny holes in it and 'camp'under a blanked on the lawn in the back yard. when a bird sticks its beak in the bag my bro points the gun at it and shoots it.
and you country folk think you <A HREF="http://www.accuracyinternational.com/awm.htm" target="_new">THIS GUN</A> to kill a magpie ahahhaa
Windows has started.
Would you like to play another game?
Ouch! If I would have been hit in the forehead or eye my story would have an entirely different out come. Luckily I got hit with a glancing blow, another amazing thing is my friend was standing behind me and looking right over the shoulder that got hit.
Hmmmm, Nice gun but I want this one <A HREF="http://www.accuracyinternational.com/aw50.htm" target="_new">http://www.accuracyinternational.com/aw50.htm</A> I wonder how much that costs a shot.
They're not really hard to get. You just have to recommended by a member of a club to get into a club usually. If you can't hunt or get into a club, you can't justify to the firearms section of the police the need for the rifle, and they won't let you have a license.
There are loopholes, but unless you're a keen hobbyist, you'll find it more hassle than it's worth.
