New Abit KG7-RAID - No POST

This is a new build using all new components except for a Athlon 1200 purchased from eBay - used with no guarantee (red flag?). All the fans are spinning up, HD spins up but no monitor, no POST, nada.

Read on Paul's Abit page about a problem with FD cables shipping with the KG7 so this was replaced with a known working cable. Still no love.
R/R'd HSF and processor, verified nothing was shorting on the board, cleared CMOS, reseated memory (Kingston 256M PC2100 tried seating in both DIMM1 and DIMM4).

Would a toasted processor cause this? Any other suggestions on where to look?

I would try remounting your mobo in the case, and switch some of your 4 pin power supply cables around. If that doesn't work, check and see if your power supply is amd approved. Some quality power supplies such as sparkle or enermax may work fine even if less than 300 watts, but generic power supplies may not. Also, when you use the cmos jumper, your power supply must be unplugged.
