I'm having this annoying problem, during game play (any kind of game) it always have the "Windows Default Beep" sound in the background every few seconds.. It's really annoying the crap out of me! does anyone know why it's happening and how to fix it??? :?: :?: :?:
Thanks
Check the temperatures. Could be a default warning sound for overheat. Or do you have asus probe running? Could also be a warning sound from any program like this...
If everything is ok just unplug the cable to the pc-speaker

is it windows xp? it could be that stupid smart key thing when you press ctrl or shift 5 times...
I did check the temp. and I don't think it's that hot to give me that default beep, also I do not have asus's pc probe running, I do not like that program very much...
I am using XP... but I have disable the smart key a long time ago.. I believe when the smart key kicks in, it actually bring me back to the desktop... but all I get is the stupid default beep going off every few seconds even without pressing ctrl.
Idol:
CPU: 32~35C, MB 35~37, GPU 45~47, HDD 27~29

The motherboard(A8N32-SLi) I have does not have any temp warning settings, the only thing it has is just the CPU and MB temp monitor, Voltage monitor and fan speed monitor. The only thing that was highlighted red was the PSU fan speed.. but I don't think that will cause any issue since the PSU has it's own temp monitor and control.
Nah, Wolfys guess is you're pressing too many keys at one time. Happens most usually when you're playing an fps and trying to move diagonally, jump and switch weapon at the same
Least that be my guess, does the beeping happen when your playing primarily mouse driven games like an RTS?
The default beep goes off just about any time... it even goes off during loading screen! Also I'm not sure if it's caused by pressing too many keys.. I play a lot of FPS, most of the time I just have my finger one "W,S,D,A" and the mouse... It never happens before, and I have been playing with the same style for a long time now!
Hey there,
I'm the one who posted the original topic. I actually figured out the problem a while back and forgot to do a follow up post.
Anyway, do you have an UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) by any chance? if you do, did you install the monitoring software that comes with it? In my case was because during game play the system is drawing out too much power from the UPS and it's just trying to give me a friendly warning with the warning sound. If you do, just go into the software and disable any warning messages from the UPS monitoring software. If your power supply is drawing way too much power than it the UPS can handle, maybe consider buying another one with more power.
What do you consider "REGULAR SIZE" (since you did not bother to mention it) and why do I have to conform to the standards of color & size that everyone else uses?
