I think the personas were an attempt to compete with chrome.

Youtube does not support the video features of FF 3.6 yet.
Are there any site for this feature?

The claims seem to be correct so far. Benchmarking with peacekeeper shows 27% improvement over 3.5.7.

Ive been using the beta/RC's and I do have2 say: Slick! Ive been a firefox user for a couple years now and its just getting better imo. Im tempted to say, even though evolutionary, this is the best browser ive used to date.

20% of slow is still slow. Can't you work on the speed now instead of some persona crap?

I love chrome's simplicity and love Firefox's speed. The solution?

Firefox 3.6 + Chrome theme! :D

It looks just like Chrome LOL

Why are they making it faster? If you want faster buy a new PC, that's what keeps the economy growing.

What they should be doing is working out how to monetize this product. Figure out how to lock in current users and then figure out how to squeeze them as hard as possible.

Why is it when they release a new version it isn't in the update feature within FF?

Love it, starts up much faster. I still have to use IE for sharepoint as not all features work in firefox yet but that's to be expected. Now if only my Redshift theme worked with 3.6.

not all add-ons dude. IE tab doesn't work with the final version but looks like it did work with one of the pre release versions

I was in the process of downloading it but it said that Firebug may not be compatible. That's not good for a web developer. I will download at my house, test with firebug. If it works then i'll do my work comp.

personas dont really look so great if you have your bookmark/nagivation toolbars disabled and all the navigation contents in the menu bar with tiny menu addon. i'll stick with my current theme.

I still like the themes better than the persona textures, but some of them aren't so bad.

So pages do seem to load up quicker on some sites I've historically found to be a bit slower on both my desktop and my netbook (eee 900,XP, 512RAM). Certain sites that stream video seem to stream much better on my netbook on higher settings than before, which I didn't really anticipate, so I was pleasantly surprised. Couldn't get hulu to run any better though, but improvement is improvement.

I can't wait to see what HTML 5 can do. I was an avid supporter of Flash until Adobe took it over, and it's becoming spottier every year since.

My 2ยข.
