Hi, I am using MSN messenger and today I am getting endless alerts from
Norton Internet Security that Windows Messenger is trying to access the
internet. Whether I block it or allow it these messages keep coming up. Any
ideas how I can stop Windows Messenger from doing this, or is it a problem
with my firewall settings?

Go first into Windows Messenger Tools/Options and disable it from starting
with Windows and when you open it etc. Then go to Internet Explorer
Tools/Manage Add-ons and disable it there.

You are welcome. Incidentally, Ad-Aware SE Spyware cleaner also has some
useful plug-ins, such as Messenger Control, Windows Messenger Control etc.
