Legacy free motherboard
Mar 21, 2002, 10:00 PM
I'm currently looking for a legacy-free Socket A motherboard.
Things that could (and should) go are:
* PS/2 connectors
* Serial connectors
* Parallell connector
* Floppy connector
I want it to have as little onboard-stuff as possible (so no integrated audio, network etc) since I have good PCI-cards for those needs. USB (2.0 and possibly FireWire) should be on the card though.
Now for the question, does anyone know of such a motherboard? The closest I've found yet is the MAX series by abit, but that's not much more than a press release right now.

Yes, and they could get rid of the IDE controller also!
What's the frequency, Kenneth?

It's always the one thing you never suspected.
