I just got a case that has a front firewire port (3R Systems Neon Light). It has the pins connector for connecting to a motherboard (not the kind that extends to the back of the case). To be flexible, the connector is "broken" up into individual pin connectors. There are six connectors total. My motherboard doesn't support firewire, but I have a firewire card that has an internal 6-pin firewire port (one that connects to a regular firewire cable). Is there anyway I can make these two work together without cutting the connectors? Is there an adapter for something like this? I could not find any.

Why can't you just get the specs on the card pinouts and the case pinouts and hook them up properly?

It's always the one thing you never suspected.
