Gigabyte's New MB

Hi All!
I have recently built a new system using a Gigabyte GA-7VRXP MB, AMD XP-1900+, Maxtor 80GB 7200 RPM ATA/133, SB Live!, Winfast Geforce2 Ultra, 512MB Crucial(Micron) DDR CAS 2.5, and all the latest drivers with default settings, etc... The problem I seem to be having is that my machine keeps rebooting, I'm talking about 3-4 times an hour here! It doesn't matter what application I run either. I don't have to be running any at all and it reboots itself. I am waiting for a reply from Gigabyte now and hopefully a fix. If I can't get a fix I will send this board back and exchange it for an ASUS board. Sign me as one day older and hopefully a little wiser, ta ta for now!

I dont have any problem with Gigabyte 7VRXP motherboard under winMe/win2k/winxp at all. It performace excellent with AMD XP-2000+, Asus Gefore 3 delux, 3 WD 100g hds, 512ram winbond, Yamaha CDRW, Pionnier DVD. Here is you have to do

1.Leave your agp card and take out other from pci slots

2.Check your FSB, Optimize loadup, or load as failured setting from bios then boot up as a safe mode. If you are in, you can reboot again as normal mode.

3. Reinstall all other devices one by one to see which hardware conflict.

However, play around with hardware if possible, or get the Asus board. Both of them are fabulous MB.

Onw other idea. Try the system by simply leaving out the SB Live! card.

Via + SB Live! can sometimes = :frown:
