Problem with MSN Messenger 7.0

I've been having problems trying to remove backgrounds from msn messenger. I
added one yesterday but now I would like to remove it. Everytime I try to it
freezes up msn messenger and it doesn't let me do anything. It let's me
delete other backgrounds but not the one I added yesterday. I've tried
anything from uninstalling reinstalling messenger to restoring the computer
to a earlier date. But nothing works. Help please.

Well you could try removing all the Backgrounds. To do so, close down Messenger go to
\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN
Messenger\anumber\Backgrounds. Where username is your Windows username and anumber is an
integer representation of your e-mail address (just go through them all if you have
multiples). If you don't know which number is yours, simply do this for each -- go into the
Backgrounds folder and remove all the files within it, then restart Messenger.
