I have this extremely annoying problem with my new Asus A7V266-E motherboard, and I am in a desperate need of advice..
The thing is that it won't even give me visual, instead it starts beeping; long beeps in an endless loop. According to the manual my motherboard tries to tell me "no DRAM installed or detected". But it's there allright. And it works. My friend has the same motherboard with the same processor (AMD Athlon XP 1700+), and his computer has no trouble accepting my DRAM.
I tried everything. Double-checked all the jumpers on the motherboard, the processor, my graphics card (GeForce 3 Ti200); all of it. So what am I supposed to do? Thanks.
