linksys wusb54g crash winxp

I have a linksys wusb54g connected to my desktop running winxp. It
occasionally causes my computer to crash. If I see it, the connection
displays "wireless network unavailable" before immediately restarting
my computer. If i try to remove the network adapter or turn off the
connection, it also causes my computer to crash. Any idea's why this
is crashing and how to fix it?
