Can anyone point me to how to set up the NAT/Basic Firewall in Routing and
Remote Access on Windows Server 2003 so that Messenger on the XP client
machines can access externally? Currently I have both NAT and Basic
Firewall switched on.

Thanks

works for me

ie, I have exactly what you listed of RRAS in 2003 running both basic
firewall and NAT, and a heap of xp workstations connected to the lan side of
the 2003 server. all workstations are running windows messenger 4.7 (the
edtion in SP2) fine.

note: I don't have fileshare and video and audio working, only text chat.
video/audi/fileshare require upnp on the nat device to be able to traverse
it, and rras in 2003 doesn't offer this. shame.
