I went to put 2 512 ddr crucial rams sticks in my motherboard. I thought ok simple enough. So I put the ram in, everything looked good. When I plugged everything back up and hit the power the monitor did not come on and I got no response from the keyboard or mouse and the red CPU light on the front of the case didnt light at all. HUH???
What was the computer running on before you added the DDR RAM sticks? ie what RAM did it have? which motherboard do you have (including BIOS revision)?
If you're getting ABSOLTELY no response, not even a whirring into life of the fans then perhaps the power supply has died, or a fuse has blown!
If it's wirring into life but nothing appears on the screen and the keyboard appears dead (try hitting num lock repeatedly to see if that will light the LED) then try removing the new RAM sticks, try each one individually, and try your old RAM too.
I had a 512 stick ddr of samsung in before. I have an abit kg7-raid motherboard and I had the latest bios. The hard drives and all the fans came on the cd player would open up and I tried hitting the num lock but no luck.
