I need help. My PC is almost dead..... Here's the story. (See my set up below). I run Win2k, and yesterday while scanning a document Windows froze on me. Couldn't get out any way I tried so I hit Reset. On bootup my system hung right after memory post. Power seems ok, all fans are spinning. Multiple resets and power-offs did not help. It doesn't get far enough for me to enter the BIOS before it hangs. I cleared the CMOS. Out of desperation I tried moving the jumper for the FSB back to 100. Nothing helped.
Post Code reads 52 which the Epox manual claims is where it initializes ISA, PCI and PnP devices.

Any ideas??

Something cooked. Have you removed all extra expansion stuff that you can? If so the next thing to do is to swap parts until you isolate what is causing your grief.

It's always the one thing you never suspected.

Yeah, that's my next step. I'm not home now, but tonight I'm going to take things out one by one. Thanks.
