Sony Trinitron Discoloration (Case II)

I also have the Discoloration problem of my 20" Sony Mon. I have placed a Speaker at right hand side and after 1 week, I find that the right conner is dimer. Then I remove the speaker but not better. I think it is already Magnetized. So I try the Duassage function but still cannot get back. Help!!

An idea is to head down to your local TV repair shop, and get them to pass a "Degauss Wand" over your CRT unit.

I've found in the past that the internal degauss units of most CRT's aren't powerful enough to eliminate strong magnetic effects, like what you are describing.

Either way it's worth a try.

That's very true. I bought my own degaussing coil. They are cheap, and you will use it for friends/realatives as well as yourself. It is worth the $15 - $20 you'll spend.
