I use MSN Messenger and would permanantly disable Windows messenger.
Everytime I launch Outlook Express the WM opens and signs in screwing up my
MSN Messenger. This just started happening. How do I keep Windows Messenger
from opening period?

In WM Tools/Options/Preferences you can stop it running when Windows starts.
Also go to Internet Explorer Tools/Manage add-ons and disable WM there.

It was already unchecked.

That is why I am so unpuzzled. It shouldn't be loading at all.

If you don't have it already download Adaware SE then look on their website
for Add-ons, particularly Messenger Control and OE-W MessengerCtrl (also VX2
cleaner -useful) but with the first two you can diable WM completely.
Adaware SE
http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/ (look for free download link)
Alternative download link:

Did you disable Messenger in I.E.?
