I just loaded MSN Messenger 7 on new Media Center 2005 PC. When starting
Media Center it is prompting me to sign into Windows Messenger even though I
am already signed into MSN Messenger. I unchecked all boxes in Windows
Messenger to get rid of "you have been signed out of the Net Messenger
Service because you have signed in at another location" message.

Also, it seems that now my PC is no longer recognizing automatic updates.
There are new critical updates available and my PC is not downloading them.

How do I fix this?

I do have Norton Internet Security installed. I was not sure if above
problem has anything to do with that. So far I have only one user setup and
did not assign a password since I was not sure whether I needed to do it in
Norton or in Windows Accounts. I did log in with Hotmail Passport though.
I am trying to figure out if I need to setup my other user accounts thru
Norton or in Windows User Accounts.

Greetings,

Media Center's Messenger capability works with Windows Messenger exclusively and will not
work with MSN Messenger.
