I have a problem with my cd-rom(master) and cdrw(slave) when hooked up only the cdrw is recognized. Second problem is if I slave a second harddrive they are recognized during boot but cannot see them in windows. Any ideas?

Hey V,

I once had a problem like that, I don't know if it will help you though.... I had a bad ide cable & win 98 need a fresh install(2 years running on 98 se upgrade over a 1 year old win 98 factory install). Check your CDRW manual & see if you have to set it up as the Master(or sometimes even have to install it on the end of the IDE cable, not the middle connector). Also check your Master/Slave jumper setting, the ones on the HDD, sometimes have different setting for "Master Only Drive" & "Master w/ Slave". Its all I can think of right now, Good Luck!

Peace Out................tile

Just waiting for the next "Big" thing like everyone else?

Turn all the drives to "auto" in BIOS.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
