I have an older Tyan Tiger 1692S Slot One mother board and recently I purchased 4 PC133 128MB SDRAM DIMMs to give me a total of 512MB. Upon installation though, my system wouldn't even POST. I tried re-installing it several times to no avail. I checked the BIOS (AMIBIOS) to make sure there wasn't a setting to swith the frequency from PC100 to PC133; there wasn't.
I checked the manual to make sure that this was an acceptable memory configuration; it was. I even tested the memory on a friend's system and it was OK.
Can anyone think of a reason that my new memory wouldn't be compatible with my motherboard?
Thanks.
