Has anybody experienced any problems with the D-Link DI 624+ Wireless Router
and MAC Addresss Filtering.

Whenever I enable MAC Address filtering, My PC running Windows XP with a
DWL-G520+ PCI Card shows a connection but can't actually cnnect to the
network. i.e. no IP address, can't ping, can't access internet. Have
disbaled XP running wireless and use teh D-Link utility. Also have the
latest firmware on the Router.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, a Google search of the newsgroup will tell you if anyone has had
this problem in the past.

Well, you're on this page:

Do you have the "only ALLOW computers..." checked, or do you have
"only DENY computers..." checked? Getting it backwards seems to be a
common problem.

I'll assume that everything works normally with MAC address filtering
turned off.

I'll assume that "disbaled XP running Wireless" means that you've
disabled the "Wireless Zero Config" service. Good idea.

Typo errors in the MAC address are a common problem. Sometimes, the
MAC address on the wireless cards (DWL-G520+) does not agree with that
printed on the card. That's because Windoze stores the cards MAC
address and uses the stored address. The easiest way to get the
correct MAC address is to temporarily disable filtering and extract it
from the DHCP client list box.

Note that the word "Clone" is a bad choice of words because it implies
that the address cloned will somehow become the MAC address of the
router (as is common practice for ISP's that use MAC address
authentication). Not so. "Copy" or "Add to List" would be a more
suitable phrase.

(not shouting just differentiating) I USE "ONLY ALLOW COMPUTER ETC"

YEP EVERYTHING WORKS FINE WITH FILTERING OFF. ALWAYS HAVE TO RESET THE
ROUTER TO DEFUALT AFTER APPLYING FILTERING
