Hi there. None of you know me, and you may or may not remember Haqsau. I found some of his posts here through googling his name, and he really enjoyed playing SW:G.
Sadly, Hal passed away early this morning from a brain cancer. It was discovered about a year ago or so, and he finally succumbed to it today. He was a very good friend of mine, and I'm sure he's made friends in the SW:G community.
From what his family has told me, it was a peaceful passing, and about an hour later there seemed to be a smile on his face. I am saddened for the loss of my good friend, but I'm glad that he won't be struggling with this disease any longer. Near the end, it was difficult for him to have company - both because of fatigue and the fact that the tumor caused comprehension difficulties.
If there is a SW:G forum that might be better suited for this, please let me know at bytor <at> comcast.net.
And if you know of someone who has comprehension difficulties, only from time to time, please, please suggest they get tested. This kind of thing can be recovered from sometimes - the sooner it's detected the better. Hal only found out something was wrong when he had a 4-hour seizure that immobilized him, fully conscious and aware, on the floor of his apartment.
Haqsau fought long & hard, and I think he finally decided he'd had enough. He was only in his mid-forties, and left behind a son & daugher in their early 20's.
