I'm fairly new to PC gaming and patches, and was wondering which patches I need to install for Battlefield 2. v1.03 claims to have a new area (Wake Island or something) and v1.12 claims to make other fixes etc...

I downloaded a v1.21 patch but no sign of Wake Island!

Do I need to download and install all the patch's from the first release, or will the latest patch include all the previous patches??

Also, what happens if I've already installed v1.21 and then download and install v1.03 (to get Wake Island), will I have to reinstall v1.21??

If I remember correctly, there are 2 different versions of the patch. One updates to v1.21 from the last previous patch, and one is a complete patch including all previous patches (for fresh installs).

Maybe you downloaded the wrong one.

That is correct. There is a full and an incremential patch. If you got the inc patch it is for updating from the previous patch.

Yeah, you should get the full update patch to v1.21 it's like 350Mb. This patch updates the retail version to 1.21, so this will save you time as to taking the incremental patch. Got to fileshack.com to get the patch since their servers are super fast compare to other free servers.
