What are your opinions - or facts - about the omega drivers? I've heard some good things, and I've heard some bad things.
Reason I'm asking is that I want to update my graphics drivers, but I don't know if I should use the omega driver or the manufacturer's drivers. When installing the omega drivers, it tells me that it doesn't pass the windows logo test. What is this test, and how relevant is it to the performance of my graphics card... and possibly to the games I play overall? I play mostly RTS and third-person RPGs. I can't stand FPS... I get sick too easy. Which means, I can't play Oblivion.
I ignore that message, it's pretty much windows telling you that it doesn't know who made this driver, so you shouldn't install it. But then again, who listens to windows I would highly recommend these drivers as the ATI drivers are optimized for benchmarks, not games. These drivers provide more stable FPS than the ATI ones, and in most cases, offer higher FPS than the ATI ones. Installing the latest ones (based on 6.3) helped increase my FPS in oblivion 5 - 10 FPS
