problems with my sony e200 17 inch monitor

Hi,

yesterday i bought a sony e200 17 inch monitor.

Straight away i was shocked when turning it on. The monitor displays a concave image ( i think its called skew ?). I heard that most rtinitron tubes display a slightly distorted image, is this true ?

But honestly, i dont know if this is more concave than the standard, as a straight horizontal line going across the screen will deviate in the middle by approx 2 mm.

This doesnt sound like alot, but most of the time i use my computer for browsing the net, and using apps such as word, mirc, cuteftp etc... I notice straight away that the lines of writing in each ofthese is very warped.

Does anyone ele with a sony monitor, or even any other flat screen crt monitor experience the same problem ?

I have tried adjusting it out, believe me, but you just cant do it.

Although the colours and sharpness overall are very niceon the monitor.

Any input or help would be appreciated, as im still deciding wether or not i shoul take it back.
